Accessibility Statement

The World Entrepreneur & Investor Summit is committed to making its website accessible to as many people as possible, including those who rely on assistive technologies. We want everyone — whatever their ability or the device they use — to be able to find information about the event and get in touch with us easily.

Our aim

We aim to align this website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This is a goal that guides our design and development decisions rather than a formal certification, and we continue to review and improve the site over time.

Accessibility features we have implemented

The following features are built into this website to support an accessible experience:

• Skip-to-content link: a link at the top of each page lets keyboard and screen-reader users jump straight past the navigation to the main content.
• Keyboard-navigable menus: the main navigation and the "Get Involved" mega menu can be operated with a keyboard, without requiring a mouse.
• Visible focus styles: interactive elements show a clear focus indicator so you can see where you are as you move through the page.
• ARIA labels: navigation, forms, and interactive regions include ARIA labelling to give assistive technologies meaningful context.
• Semantic headings: pages use a logical heading structure with a single H1 per page, making content easier to scan and navigate.
• Descriptive alt text: meaningful images are given descriptive alternative text so their purpose is conveyed to screen-reader users.
• Responsive, mobile-friendly layout: the site adapts to different screen sizes and reflows content for phones, tablets, and desktops.
• Colour contrast: text and interface colours are chosen with contrast in mind to support readability.
• Reduced-motion support: the site respects the operating-system "reduce motion" preference and minimises non-essential animation for those who enable it.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some parts of the website may not yet be fully accessible. Known areas we are working on include:

• Some imagery is still being finalised ahead of the event, and alternative text will be reviewed and refined as final images are added.
• Third-party or embedded content added in future (such as maps, video, or ticketing widgets) may not fully meet our accessibility standards and is partly outside our direct control.
• Documents such as downloadable PDFs, where provided, may not yet be fully optimised for assistive technologies.

We treat these as priorities for ongoing improvement rather than a fixed state.

How we test

We review accessibility using a combination of manual keyboard testing, checks with assistive technologies, and automated tools, and we consider accessibility as part of our design and content process. Accessibility is an ongoing effort and we welcome feedback that helps us do better.
